Don’t Become Weary in Well Doing

Galatians 6:9-10 KJV says:

9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

But honestly speaking, do you ever get tired of being nice? Ever get tired of individuals taking your covering of Christianity as a rug of weakness? Ever ask God “why?” “Why do you always have to be the one doing the right thing? What about this person or that person, God? Why do they get to be mean; not help with family; not speak to others; not visit that family member that no one wants to be bothered with?” Why, Lord?

Ask yourself this: “Why NOT you?”

Sometimes it’s not fair. Period.

Sometimes you are not in the mood to hear “one more scripture.” You know what God word says, but honestly, you’re not “feeling” it. Nope, not today.

God is merciful and everlasting. There are times he has us in situations to be a blessing to others. Remember, it is not about you, but about Christ that shows in you, in the work you do.

He’s growing you and maturing you. Don’t worry about others.

Matthew 5:41-44 says,
41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

So go ahead, have a good cry on God’s shoulders. Tell Him how unfair it is and how unappreciated you feel. Wait for Him to dry your tears and then, go do what you know is the right thing to do. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Just know that “if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth [and know better], there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins” Hebrews 10:26 KJV.

Be Blessed!
